| Battery Calibration |
|
| |
All refilled batteries have a "digital
memory effect." This capacity recognition can be
corrected after running through a few charge /discharge
cycles. However, this specific situation requires
battery calibration. We have seen some laptop batteries
run for over 2 hours when the battery gauge was only at
9%.
Most laptops come with a Battery Calibrate feature in
Bios (press F1, F2, or Del key when computer boots). If
your laptop has this feature, please calibrate your
battery. Most Compaq and some laptop brands have battery
calibration programs available for download.
If you cannot find the calibration option in Bios nor
the downloadable calibration program, try fully charging
with minimum 8 to 10 hours and fully discharging
manually for a minimum of 3 to 5 times. Here are the
instructions below may be useful for you.
